I had a very thorough conversation with Richard from Healthpath. He asked me some questions about my health situation and explained how their tests can help to come to the bottom of the route cause of my health problem. He was extremely helpful, supportive and knowledgable. I strongly believe that this new approach in the disease curing is the future of the medicine. Thank you to all Healthpath team for their mission.

Frequently asked questions

I don’t have any gut health issues. Do I need to take a test?

Your gut does far more than digest your food. Amongst many other things, it plays a role in making your neurotransmitters, it influences your hormones and it’s also home to most of your immune system. This means that if something isn’t right in your gut, it can show up in a number of ways—headaches, skin conditions, joint pain and more. To look at it another way: there are very few conditions that can’t be helped by addressing the gut. If you recognise yourself in any of the symptoms listed above, it may be worth taking a test.

How do I know which test is right for me?

You can read more about each test by clicking through to its page. This includes details on which symptoms are most relevant for each test. If you’d prefer to get some expert advice, you can book a 20-minute consultation with one of our gut health experts.

Do you ship outside the UK?

At the moment we only ship to UK addresses. If you have a special request, feel free to get in touch.

Do I need to stop taking supplements or medications before taking a test?

You must not stop medications in order to take a test. Speak to your doctor first. Some tests require you to stop taking supplements for a few days. To find out more, you can download the relevant instructions on the individual test pages.

What should I do if I have a question or an issue with taking my sample?

If you have any questions or issues with taking your sample according to the instructions provided, it is important you contact us before you send your sample to the lab.

Healthpath cannot guarantee to intercept your sample once it arrives at the lab and so it may still be processed.

Contact us on hello@healthpath.com.

How long will it take to get my results?

Your results will be posted on your online account a maximum of 15 working days after your samples have arrived at the lab.

How do I view my results?

You’ll receive an email notification letting you know your results are ready. Simply log into your Healthpath account to view them.

How will I know what my results mean?

All your results data is accompanied by clear, jargon-free explanations. Our practitioners also review all results and, with our Plan and Package options, provide personalised recommendations that are easy-to-follow and specific to you.

Can I get these tests on the NHS?

Functional tests are highly specialised and currently not offered through the NHS. At present, the only option is to pay for them privately. We appreciate you want to spend your money wisely, which is why we only offer tests that are genuinely helpful.

Can I claim the cost of the test on my private health insurance?

It’s possible, though you’ll need to check the details of your insurance to see what’s included.
