Where is Healthpath available?

At present, Healthpath’s tests and supplements are only available in the UK. We have plans to expand, so watch this space. Our articles—plus our popular Gut Health Program—are accessible from anywhere in the world.

 

Are you medical doctors?

No, we aren’t medical doctors. Rather than seeking to diagnose and treat disease states, Functional Medicine takes a systems-biology approach to assessing imbalance in individuals. We consider your symptoms, health history, diet, lifestyle and test results to work out what you need to restore balance. This will vary from individual to individual, and could be anything from a specific nutrient to a relaxation practice.

 

Functional Medicine is evidence-based and practised by a growing number of medical practitioners worldwide. We firmly believe this approach is the only way to tackle the epidemic of chronic health conditions.

 

However, we are categorically not a replacement for your doctor. If you feel you have a medical issue that needs attention, it’s important you book an appointment with your GP.

 

Will you diagnose me with any critically serious diseases, like cancer?

No. Our Functional Medicine Practitioners and Registered Nutritional Therapists do not diagnose any disease states. If you feel you have a medical issue that needs attention, please book an appointment with your GP.

 

Is my data safe?

What can I do if I am not happy with your service?

I’ve lost my test kit instructions. What can I do?

Why haven’t I received my test kit yet?

Your test kit should arrive within three working days of placing the order. If your test kit is taking longer than this, please email us at hello@healthpath.com or get in touch with us via the live chat button below.

 

Why do you recommend these particular tests?

We believe a test is worthwhile if the results affect the subsequent approach. In other words, if a test won’t change what you need to do, there’s no point in taking one.

 

Our tests are hand-selected based on the specificity and sensitivity of their assessment techniques. They provide precise information that simply can’t be gathered from a questionnaire or consultation, which means they allow us to further tailor nutrition, lifestyle and supplement advice.

 

We work closely with partner laboratories to ensure that tests are as accessible and cost-effective as possible.

 

What should I do if I have a question or an issue with taking my sample?

If you have any questions or issues with taking your sample according to the instructions provided, it is important you contact us before you send your sample to the lab.

 

Healthpath cannot guarantee to intercept your sample once it arrives at the lab and so it may still be processed.

Do I need to stop taking my supplements or medications before the test?

This depends on the test you’re taking. It’s best to check the test instructions for full information, which you can find on the test information pages or in the ‘I’ve lost my test kit instructions. What can I do?’ question above.

 

How long does the testing process take?

For any test, the process takes no more than three weeks.

 

You’ll receive your test within three working days of placing the order. All tests can be completed in one day, and it’s best to post the samples back as soon as possible. After we receive your samples, your results will be posted in your Healthpath account within three to 15 working days. This varies by test, so please check the instructions for full information.

What should I do if I no longer require the test kit and would like a refund?

Please write to us at hello@healthpath.com. Our customer services team will explain how you can return your kit for a refund.

 

How do I get started?

How long do I have to complete my test? Does the kit expire?

All the tests can be completed in one day. We recommend using all tests kits within two weeks of receiving them.

 

When will my results be ready?

Your results will be posted in your Healthpath account three to 15 working days after we’ve received your samples. This varies by test, so please check the instructions for full information.

Will you share these results with my doctor?

No, we won’t share the results with your doctor unless specifically requested.

 

Some test results may reveal ‘red flag’ symptoms or biomarkers. These are deemed to indicate conditions that require medical attention, in which case it will be clearly indicated that you should book an appointment with your GP as soon as possible.
